A summer filled with adventure, exploration, and fun. Farmington Hills Unplugged Summer Camps have something for everyone ages 3 to 18 – art, theatre, music, sports, archery, skateboard, nature, and STEM. Or for the generalist in the crowd, give the General Day Camps a try.

Multi-Sport (Basketball & Soccer) programs are designed to introduce young athletes to a variety of different sports in one setting. Farmington Hills Summer Camps Spring Break Events – Camp Clay Spring Break

This exciting opportunity to play with clay teaches campers the fundamentals of ceramics by making pinch pots, tiles, and even throwing on the wheel. Participants will work in traditional white clay as well as air-dry and polymer clays. Please note that some work may not be ready to come home on the final day of camp. If some pieces require additional drying time prior to firing in the kilns, campers will be notified when their work is complete and ready to pick up. Ages 6-8. Make Farmington Hills your home for summer camp. Farmington Hills Special Services Department hosts over 3,000 kids each year in its day camps. Kids make friends, explore new places and gain self-confidence. Every day is an adventure.

Working parents? Many Farmington Hills Summer camps also offer before and after care for an additional fee. All camps are open to both residents and non-residents.

Farmington Hills Summer Camps 2025 – General Day Camps

Camp Turtle (ages 6-7) Weekly summer day camps located at the Hawk Community Center. The new community center comes complete with state of the art aquatic center and tons of outdoor play space. Meet new friends, create art projects, swim, play outside, and much more.

Camp Otter (ages 8-9) Weekly summer day camps located at the Hawk Community Center. The new community center comes complete with state of the art aquatic center and tons of outdoor play space. Meet new friends, create art projects, swim, play outside, and much more.

Camp Penguin (ages 10-11) – Weekly summer day camps located at the Hawk Community Center. The new community center comes complete with state of the art aquatic center and tons of outdoor play space. Meet new friends, create art projects, swim, play outside, and much more.

Camp Polar Bear (ages 6-11) – This camp combines Turtle, Otter, and Penguin for one final week at the end of summer.

Safety Town (ages 4-6) – Campers will spend their days riding around the outdoor safety town singing, dancing, and doing crafts. Kids learn street, bike, playground safety and more.

Safety Town 2 (ages 5-7) – Children will build off of previous Safety Town knowledge and learn about bullying, germs, poison safety, home safety, and weather safety.

TourXplore! Junior (ages 7-9) – This one-of-a-kind camp offers field trips each and every day, giving our campers the opportunity to find new passions and hobbies. We honor the summer camp experience by spending our mornings playing outside, singing camp songs, and doing crafts before our trips.

TourXplore! Scout (ages 10-12) – This one-of-a-kind camp offers field trips each and every day, giving our campers the opportunity to find new passions and hobbies. We honor the summer camp experience by spending our mornings playing outside, singing camp songs, and doing crafts before our trips.

Camp W.I.N.G.S (ages 11-26) – This program is for young adults with special needs geared towards providing both a fun and learning filled summer. Includes traditional summer camp activities at The Hawk, awesome field trips, and engaging job skills training in the community.

Camp Craft (ages 6-9 or 10-12) – Explore puppetry, jewelry making, pottery, fibers, and more.

Camp Clay (ages 6-9 or 10-12) – Play with clay and learn the fundamentals of ceramics.

Comics, Cartoons, & More (ages 6-9 or 10-12) – Delve into the world of storybook arts & illustration. Create your own graphic novel and explore story development & technical skills.

Art Adventure @ The Hawk (ages 6-9 or 10-12) – Explore Dance, Visual Art, Music, and Theatre in the return of this popular camp.

Mini Art Adventure @ The Hawk (ages 4-5) – Our youngest campers will participate in visual and performing arts each day.

313 Art of the D (ages 6-8 or 9-12) – Learn and be inspired by past and present artists that hail from Detroit. For those wanting a mixed-media art experience that enriches their perspective about the city we call home.

The Art of Play Camp (ages 6-8) – This colorful camp is packed with play and hands-on art making, featuring guided projects and open-ended experimentation to spark curiosity and creative imagination.

Lights, CANVAS, Action! Camp (ages 6-8) – Draws inspiration from popular blockbuster films to create unique, movie-theme art projects that brings characters, scenes, and stories to life through painting, sculpting, and more.

Camp Sew & So (ages 10-12) – The ultimate textiles camp for young makers.  Learn hand-sewing, use of sewing machines, and even apply some fun no-sew techniques to create exciting fabric masterpieces.

STEAM Discovery Camp (ages 10-12) – Sparks curiosity and creativity through exciting experiments, cool inventions, and innovative projects and challenges.

The Dance Experience Camp (ages 6-8 or 9-12) – Intro to all things dance & movement. Learn healthy movement and different kinds of dance

Camp Hip Hop (ages 6-8 or 9-12) – Intro to the history and different styles of hip hop music and dancing. Includes breakdancing, krumping, pop & lock, & more.

Storybook Ballet (ages 4-5 or 6-8) – Learn Basic Ballet technique and perform at the end of the week! No dance experience required.

Rising Stars (ages 6-9) – Drama through music, storytelling, movement, improv, and theatre games. Final day of camp includes a performance!

Little Stars Theatre Camp (ages 4-5) – Half-day features drama through music, storytelling, movement, improv, and theatre games!

InterACT Musical Stars Theatre Camp (ages 10-15) – Hands-on, high-energy exploration of musical theatre genre including singing, acting, and choreography. Performance on the final day of camp.

Improv Stars Theatre Camp (ages 10-15) – Improv actors work as a team to develop their own stories based on short prompts.

Total Drama Stars Theatre Camp (ages 10-15) – Learn to write, direct, and act in your own play!

The Music Experience (ages 6-8 or 9-12) – Diving into the world of music, campers will learn about rhythm, musical composition, and more!

Verses Camp (9-12) – Learn the art of songwriting, composing, and performing. Includes creative writing and vocal instruction.

Farmington Hills Summer Camps 2025 – Sports Camps

P2 Soccer Training (ages 6-16) – P2 Soccer is a full-service soccer education company that specializes in providing professional coaches and trainers across the country. Each day players focus on a skill, how to execute properly and how to apply to real game situations.

All Sports Camp (ages 6-9) – Campers will enjoy the basic fundamentals of soccer, basketball, dance, kickball, and gymnastics with fun games, contests, and mini tournaments. Tri-Sport Camp focuses on introducing young athletes to a variety of different sports that could include basketball, flag football, soccer, baseball, and floor hockey. Coaches will teach rules and basic strategy of each sport including sportsmanship and teamwork. Campers will have a chance to learn and compete against each other in games and scrimmages. Campers will enjoy the basic fundamentals of a variety of sports that could include basketball, flag football, soccer, baseball, and floor hockey.

Volleyball Camp (ages 8-14) – All aspects of the game are taught including passing, setting, hitting, and serving. Designed for the beginner to intermediate player.

Lacrosse Camp (ages 6-8 or 9-11) – Campers will have a chance to try the sport of Lacrosse by practicing the core skills of catching, shooting, cradling, throwing, defense and teamwork.

PLUS Skateboarding Camp (ages 5-19) – Designed for beginner and intermediate skateboarders. Learn all aspects of skateboarding including board set-up, safety tips, history of skateboarding and skateboard graphic design.

Basketball Camp (ages 8-13) – Fundamentals of basketball with offensive & defensive principles. Includes, film sessions, court time, and scrimmages.

Track & Field Camp (ages 8-14) – Fundamentals of running, jumping, and throwing. Learn about and practice sprints, jumps, throwing training, distance running, and more.

Experience Archery Camp (ages 9-17)  Camp students will learn all about safety, proper handling, minor equipment skills, T-form and techniques to be successful in the life sport of archery.

Golf Camp (ages 6-15) Participants will work on their swing and grip on the driving range, develop a smooth putting stroke and have the opportunity to play a few holes each night.

Gymnastics Camp (ages 6-8) – Tumble Bunnies offers a variety of equipment such as balance beams, bars, trampolines, wedge mats, octagons, vault, ladders and so much more. Each child will be introduced and learn cartwheels, handstands, bridges, flips and a variety of skills on many different pieces of equipment.

Cheer Camp (ages 6-8) – Cheer Bunnies will introduce everything a cheerleader needs to know to be a great cheerleader. A variety of cheers, chants, jumps, mounts, and pom routines will be introduced.

Gymnastics and Cheer Camp (ages 6-8) Learn everything you need to know about cheer and gymnastics in this weeklong camp put on by Tumble Bunnies. Did you know cheer uses a lot of skills learned in gymnastics? Our camp is jam packed with activities that include a warmup and a fun obstacle course. Several small props are brought in to ensure the fun such as hoops, beanbags, ribbons, balls, scarves, cones, ropes, etc. A variety of cheers, chants, jumps, mounts, and pom routines will be introduced. This program improves self-confidence, voice control, rhythm, posture, and overall coordination.

Racquet Sports Camp (ages 6-10)Campers will receive and introduction to both tennis and pickleball through fun games and practice matches.

Ranger Apprentice Hunger Games Camp (ages 9-17) Students will learn the key components in wilderness survival skills. From fire starting without matches, wild edibles, survival knots, wilderness first aide, track and scat Identification, shelter building and of course plenty of archery practice and skills.

Red Cross Junior Lifeguarding Camp (ages 11-14) – A great camp for youth & young teens to explore future job opportunities. Learn lifesaving skills, in-water rescues, use of a rescue tube, First Aid, CPR, and AED.

Farmington Hills Summer Camps 2025 – Nature Camps 

Outdoor Recreational Sampler (ages 12-14) – Campers will sample a variety of outdoor activities which may include hiking, exploring, fishing, river walks, archery, wilderness skills, and more.

Eco-STEM Nature Camp (ages 12-14) – Experience a week looking closely at nature. Campers will apply “STEM in Nature” skills to creatively design solutions to real-world problems such as energy, pollution, and nature protection.

Counselors in Training (CIT) (ages 12-14) – The Farmington Hills Summer Camps Counselor in Training (CIT) program is designed for teens who are eager to develop leadership skills and gain hands-on experience in a fun and dynamic environment. This full-day program is perfect for those who aspire to become future camp counselors or leaders in their community. Campers will learn CPR and childcare skills making them better prepared to handle emergencies.
