A summer filled with adventure, exploration, and fun. Farmington Hills Unplugged Summer Camps have something for everyone ages 3 to 18 – art, theatre, music, sports, archery, skateboard, nature, youth center drop-in, and STEM. Or for the generalist in the crowd, give the General Day Camps a try.
Make Farmington Hills your home for summer camp. Farmington Hills Parks and Rec hosts over 3,000 kids each year in our licensed day camps. Kids make friends, explore new places and gain self-confidence. Every day is an adventure.
Working parents? Many camps also offer before and after care for an additional fee. Camps are open to both residents and non-residents.

Farmington Hills Summer Camps 2019 – General Day Camps
Camp Starfish (ages 6-8) & Stingray (ages 9-11) – Camps Stingray and Starfish give children not only the chance to enjoy a wide variety of activities, including, games, crafts, sports, swimming and special events like talent shows, but also give them the opportunity to create lasting friendships and fond summer memories. The camps will have a weekly theme that will tie in activities around the theme including games, crafts and outdoor fun. R/NR Fee – $130/$140
Camp Costick (ages 6-12) – Camp Costick is an extension of all summer Costick center camps for the last few weeks of each summer. Campers will continue to bond with their friends, do daily crafts and activities, attend weekly field trips, and swim in the pool each day. R/NR Fee – $150/$160
Camp Cedar (ages 6-8) & Camp Maple (ages 9-12) – Allow your child the opportunity to spend a week at Heritage Park this summer. Campers will spend time hiking the trails, cooling off at the Splash Pad and playing games in the open spaces. These camps will have a weekly theme that will tie in activities around the theme including games, crafts and activities. R/NR Fee – $130/$140

Join camp staff for a week filled with new adventures every day! Travel to various locations in southeastern Michigan and make this summer one you won’t forget. At least 6 different trips each week. For list of trips please see online brochure. R/NR Fee – $175/$185
Farmington Hills Summer Camps 2019 – Art and Music Camps
Camp Creative (ages 5-12) – Stretch your imaginations and have a blast in this fun mixed media camp! Many different projects, themes and media will be explored throughout the week, including painting, drawing, collage, sculpture, and more! R/NR Fee – $210/$220
Art Adventure Camp (ages 5-14) – Back by popular demand, this camp offers something for every age group! Painting, drawing, 3-dimensional work, photography, music, storytelling and much more! R/NR Fee – $235/$250
Art Explorers – Around the World (ages 5-12) – Young artists set sail for an art adventure! Each day we will trot around the globe or travel back in time to discover ancient, traditional, and contemporary art forms from different cultures around the world! A variety of media will be used, including painting, drawing, and more! R/NR Fee – $105/$115
World Rhythm Music (ages 5-12) – Campers will create original music compositions that explore the indigenous spirit within cultural universality. Various instruments will be utilized. R/NR Fee – $105/$115
Wild at Sea Art Camp (Ages 8-12) – This fun, themed art camp will explore the wildlife living in our world’s rivers, lakes, and oceans. Lead by NOAA 2018 Teacher at Sea, Stephen Kade. Learn about nature and sustainability and explore different mediums like drawing, painting, and more! R/NR Fee – $210/$215
Farmington Hills Summer Camps 2019 – Theatre Camps
Little Stars (ages 4-5) – This half-day camp is for the youngest of kids interested in performing. Participants are actively engaged in drama through music, storytelling, movement, improvisation and theatre games. R/NR Fee – $130/$140
Rising Stars (grades 1-3) – This full-day camp is great for youth to become more comfortable performing on stage. Participants are actively engaged in drama through music, storytelling, movement, improvisation and theatre games. R/NR Fee – $255/$270
Total Drama (grades 4-10) – One of Farmington Hills Summer Camps most popular theatre camps, participants will work with the other grade group to write, direct, and act in their own play! R/NR Fee – $255/$270
InterACT Musical (grades 4-10) – This hands-on, high-energy, exciting exploration of the musical theatre genre includes singing, acting and choreography. Campers will present a musical theatre performance for friends and family on the last day of camp. R/NR Fee – $450/$465 (two week camp)
Act It Out – Acting Intensive (grades 4-10) – Whether you are new to performing or have years of experience, this camp will enable you to take your acting and auditioning skills to a higher level. Learn easy ways to control your nerves and gain more self-confidence for all your future performance endeavors. R/NR Fee – $135/$145

Experience Archery Camp (ages 9-17) – Camp students will learn all about safety, proper handling, minor equipment skills, T-form and techniques to be successful in the life sport of archery. R/NR Fee – $175/$185
Basketball Camp (ages 9-13) – All campers will receive group and individual instruction focusing on the basic fundamentals of basketball. R/NR Fee – $170/$180
Girls Lacrosse Camp (ages 9-16) – Participants (beginner and intermediate) will work on catching, shooting, cradling, throwing, defense and teamwork. R/NR Fee – $60/$70
Golf Camp (ages 8-15) – Participants will work on their swing and grip on the driving range, develop a smooth putting stroke and have the opportunity to play a few holes each night. R/NR Fee – $90/$100
P2 Soccer Training (ages 6-16) – UK International is a full-service soccer education company that specializes in providing professional coaches and trainers across the country. R/NR Fee – $195/$215
Skateboarding Camp (ages 5-16) – Designed for beginner and intermediate skateboarders. Learn all aspects of skateboarding including board set-up, safety tips, history of skateboarding and skateboard graphic design. R/NR Fee – $209/$219
Ranger Apprentice Hunger Games Camp (ages 9-17) – Students will learn the key components in wilderness survival skills. From fire starting without matches, wild edibles, survival knots, wilderness first aide, track and scat Identification, shelter building and of course plenty of archery practice and skills. R/NR Fee – $175/$185
All Sports Camp (ages 8-14) – Campers will receive group and individual instruction from Sports Around Town on the fundamentals of floor hockey, basketball, soccer, touch football, and kickball through games, skill contests and mini-tournaments. R/NR Fee – $170/$180

Outdoor Adventure Travel Camp (Ages 13-17) – Teens will hit the road to gain experience in archery, canoeing, wilderness survival, high ropes, and more. Each day teens will travel to a different location to have first-hand experiences. R/NR Fee – $190/$200
Nature’s Way Camp (ages 7-11) – Explore the outdoors with hands-on activities, games and crafts focused on the natural world. Each week has an exciting new theme which allows campers to discover nature by hiking the park trails, practicing outdoor skills and having fun outside! R/NR Fee – $130/$140
Environmental Leadership Experience (Ages 13-17) – Spend a week exploring the forests and rivers at Heritage Park and applying STEM skills to solving real-world environmental problems. The week is packed with STEM engineering challenges, outdoor adventures and discovering STEM based environmental careers. R/NR Fee – $130/$140
Outdoor Survival Camp (Ages 7-11) – Spend a week gearing up for adventure during our Outdoor Survival Camp. Explore Heritage Park through a variety of outdoor activities including animal tracking, fire & shelter building, orienteering, plus so much more! R/NR Fee – $150/$160
Eco-Kids Camp (ages 7-12) – Campers will have the perfect blend of art and science as they become active scientists, investigating the living things we often overlook. They’ll share their findings through art and photography, helping protect the plants and animals of Heritage Park. R/NR Fee — $130/$140
Young Explorers Camp (ages 3-5) – Campers will experience adventure every day through outdoor exploration, hikes, nature-themed art, music, games and STEM activities. Children will also visit the splash pad and playground. This is a drop-off program, children must be potty trained. R/NR Fee- $100/$110
Farmington Hills Summer Camps 2019 – Safety Town – A nationally certified interactive preschool day camp designed to teach children everyday safety.
Safety Town 1 (ages 4-6) – Safety Town campers will spend their days riding around our outdoor safety town, singing, dancing, and doing crafts. Campers will learn street, bike, playground, bus, car, water safety, stranger danger and more. Special visit from our friends at the Police Department and a bus field trip to the Fire Station. R/NR Fee – $125/$135
Safety Town 2 (ages 5-7) – Children will build off of previous Safety Town knowledge and learn about bullying, germs, poison safety, parent and home information, home safety, and weather safety. Campers will enjoy field trips to the Costick Activities Center Pool, Fire Station, and Police Department. R/NR Fee – $125/$135
Farmington Hills Summer Camps 2019 – Youth Drop-In (grades 6-8)
The Summer Drop-In Program welcomes all incoming 6th through 8th grade students. The 2nd Floor Summer Drop-In Program located at the Farmington Hills Ice Arena and is open 5 days a week from 10 a-5:30p for indoor and outdoor activities. Optional Summer Field Trips Program are also available. Fee – $325 for 8 weeks + $50 Youth Membership Fee
