Home Depot Kids Workshop Review – Video, and upcoming project info. Build. Learn. Create. Home Depot’s Kids Workshops are FREE How-to workshops designed for kids ages 5-12. The hands on sessions are offered on the first Saturday of each month between 9a and noon at all Home Depot stores.
The next Kids Workshop is Saturday, March 7, 2020 from 9a-noon. This weekend’s FREE project is – Binoculars.
We try to make it to as many sessions as possible of Home Depot’s Kids Workshop because they are so awesome.
The workshops offer useful kids projects including the creation of toolboxes, fire trucks and mail organizers, as well as more educational projects, such as a window birdhouse, bughouse or Declaration of Independence frame kit. You don’t need to register your kids to the free Home Depot Kids Workshops, you simply show up during 9a-noon and the helpful staff will have your child working on the monthly project in no time!
The free kids workshops teach children do-it-yourself skills and tool safety, while at the same time helping to instill a sense of accomplishment. Additionally, this fun time allows for quality one-on-one time between adults and children.
In addition to the newly constructed project kit, each child receives a kid-sized orange apron, similar to The Home Depot associates’ aprons, and an achievement pin with a picture of the project that was completed. My kids have enjoyed every Home Depot Kids Workshop they’ve attended and the love the aspect of adding a new pin to their free orange Home Depot aprons.
