Orion Oaks Dog Park Pics
Orion Oaks Dog Park has a modern picnic shelter / pavilion which includes modern restroom facilities for dog owners. Convenient parking is just a short distance from the shelter and fenced-in areas where dogs are free to roam leash-free. Fenced-in areas are clearly marked for small, medium, and large-sized dogs. The clearly marked areas even have perimeter distances measured so you can calculate how much exercise you (and your pooch) are getting.
Outside of the fenced-in areas at Orion Oaks Dog Park, dogs are allowed on 6-foot leashes to explore the expansive Orion Oaks Park trail system located just north of the parking lot. On the south side of the parking lot, leashed dogs are free to explore the area leading to Lake Sixteen. People aren’t permitted to swim in Lake Sixteen but the dogs ARE allowed.
Orion Oaks Dog Park is clean and well-maintained. Areas are clearly marked and OC Parks is not afraid to close an area when turf conditions are poor. Even if an area is closed-off there is always plenty of room for the dogs to roam in the other fenced-off areas. Cool hose water is provided for the dogs near the pavilion and there are plenty of dog waste stations located throughout the park for waste clean-up.
