Plymouth Orchards offers scenic grounds, an educational mill, farm animals to see and feed, a party room to rent, wagon rides, and delicious cider and donuts. I prefer the donuts at Plymouth Orchards to many of the mills I’ve visited!

The cider mill / store / market area of Plymouth Orchards is impressive. Pecks of apples, multiple aisles of produce, pies, and other cider mill goodies fill the large market area. If you didn’t know better, you’d swear you were in a small grocery store. There’s a huge cafeteria attached to the market where you can enjoy your cider and donuts.

Outside of the market, Plymouth Orchards cider mill doesn’t have very much to offer in terms of entertainment – at least not when compared to other Metro Detroit mills. The outdoors have wood cut-outs for kids to poke their heads through and there are some barnyard animals to visit but overall the cider mill grounds are a bit generic. However, the grounds are spacious and well-maintained. For some reason, they seem to have decided to make the location more about a market and a place to take children on an educational field trip rather than make it all about the fun – the way 3 Cedars or Blake’s does. It’s not an insult toward Plymouth Orchards, it’s just kind of strange that they set it up that way.
If you’re looking for great cider and donuts, I recommend Plymouth Orchards Cider Mill. If you’re looking for fall fun near Plymouth, I’d head to Northville and visit Three Cedars Farm.
