Rockin’ on the Riverfront Free Detroit Summer Concerts 2017 – The annual free summer concert series kicks off Friday, July 14 outside GM Renaissance Center. Enjoy free summer concerts in the heart of Detroit this summer on Friday evenings from 7:30p-10p in July and August.

- Friday, July 21, 2017 – George Thorogood & The Destroyers
- Friday, July 28, 2017 – Loverboy
- Friday, August 4, 2017 – Gin Blossoms
- Friday, August 11, 2017 – 38 Special
- Friday, August 18, 2017 – Everclear
Admission to the concerts is always free and no tickets are necessary. Viewing space is offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs and blankets, but outside food, beverages and coolers are not permitted.
Local restaurants will provide refreshments and food concessions at several locations across the plaza. Andiamo Detroit Riverfront and Joe Muer Seafood will accept dinner reservations before and after the concert and both restaurants offer outdoor patios overlooking the Detroit River and the Rockin’ on the Riverfront stage.
Convenient parking is available for a small fee per vehicle, starting at 5p at the GM surface lot at the intersection of St. Antoine and Atwater streets, adjacent to the GM Renaissance Center.
