If you’re looking for a “touristy”, big family fun cider mill like Blake’s or Westview Orchards… you may want to look elsewhere. Stony Creek Orchards focuses on their farm and bringing delicious cider & donuts to their store every season. This is not to say that Stony Creek isn’t fun, they do offer wagon rides and school group tours in addition to picnic areas and straw bales to climb but… you may want to find another mill if you’re looking to entertain the kids for hours. I mean no disrespect to Stony Creek Orchard cider mill when I say this.
Entertainment aside, Stony Creek cider & donuts are EXCELLENT (some say best around) and we always make it a point to stop there once a season. In addition to the cider and donuts, they offer fresh baked pies, preserves, cider slushees, maple syrup, farm fresh eggs, caramel apples, and more. We love loading up pecks of apples too every Fall for our own pies.
Stony Creek cider mill is western-most Macomb County cider mill and located just west of the larger, flashier Miller’s Big Red Cider Mill. I’ve noticed that Stony Creek cider and donuts are more affordable and, dare I say, more delicious.
