Improvements to the park include

5 Cool Things VOL VI / Oakland County Parks Homeschool Programs
Speaking of Oakland County Parks… they’ve revamped their Homeschool Program.
Our friends at Oakland County Parks are now offering NEW weekly homeschool learning opportunities in Madison Heights at the Red Oaks Nature Center and in Clarkston at the Wint Nature Center located inside Independence Oaks County Park.
These NEW 8-week programs will occur once weekly throughout the FALL for a 2-hour session. Each program is designed for students ages 6-12 as a drop-off/pick-up format. All homeschooled students are welcome. Each program (Red Oaks & Wint) will be guided by experienced naturalists and feature different topic each week and a STEM-based project.
Because the program is 8-weeks in length, the hope is that it will be easier for students to form new friendships with classmates they will see regularly through the 8-week sessions.
Fall sessions are underway, but they’re going to be bringing them back in the Spring.
