Waterford Oaks Wave Pool Dog Swim – at Waterford Oaks County Park. All dogs owners must show valid Michigan dog license and proof of current vaccinations at the time of the event. Dogs swim by weight category. Three swims. Noon-12:50p – 70lbs plus, 1p-1:50p – 31lbs-69lbs, 2p-2:50p – 30lbs and under. Pre-registration cost is $10/dog and includes admission, contest entry and one 50-minute swim session. On-site registration is $15/dog if availability allows. To register, call 248-858-0916. Detroit Grand Circus Dog Park Halloween Costume Party – Owners are encouraged to dress their pets to impress for a chance to win a prize in one of these categories: Best Costume, Scariest Costume, Most Creative Costume, and the Best Pet & Parent combination. The annual event will also feature Halloween Themed games and gifts for dogs as well as treats for their parents and DJ spinning tracks. Hosted by the Downtown Detroit Partnership.
