Light Up Beacon Park is family fun at Beacon Park in Detroit. Children of all ages are invited to experience “Toyland” at Beacon Park with larger-than-life light features, including a Choo-Choo Train, Giant Teddy Bear and other photo moments. These new and returning interactive lighting features, totaling more than 125,000 twinkling LED lights will illuminate Beacon Park. Opening Night 11/18 from 5p-11:30p features dancers, live entertainment, live reindeer, Santa, and more. Hosted by the Downton Detroit Partnership.

Heritage Park Sweetheart Stroll
Heritage Park Sweetheart Stroll – Celebrate Valentines Day with a candle-lit hike through the trails of Heritage Park. Share your love of nature as you discover the courtship and mating behaviors of native animals. Complete the evening with a warm drink and sweet treats at the Nature Center. Ages 18+. Heritage Park Maple Sugaring in Your Own Backyard – four 1-hr time slots to choose from each day. Discover the basics of making maple syrup from your own Maple tree. Witness the process of collecting sap and boiling it down over a campfire. Enjoy a free syrup treat. Syrup products and sugaring supplies will be available for participants to purchase. All ages. $7. O.A.K. in the Hills
O.A.K. in the Hills at Spencer Park. Enjoy archery, camping, yoga, rock wall, kayaking, fishing, biking, hiking,
reptiles, pickleball, zip line and more during O.A.K. in the Hills Outdoor Adventure Kickoff. All ages are welcome and admission is FREE. This event is sponsored by Oakland County Parks and Recreation and the City Rochester Hills.
