Kensington Metropark Hayride Adventure – (810-227-8910, metroparks.com). Take part behind the scenes as the draft horses are harnessed and hitched to the wagon. Learn what the different elements of their harness do and how they work together. When the horses are dressed and ready, you’ll be all set for a relaxing hayride along the farm’s wooded trails. All ages. $6 per child / $10 per adult. Pre-registration is required online or by calling 810-227-8910.

Spencer Park Bass Tournament – The Park Bass Tournament is open to ALL AGES and SKILL LEVELS. All fishing is done from shore and there will be prizes for the most bass caught and also for the largest bass. Tournament participation is $5. Participants receive free park vehicle entry. Westland MLK Celebration and Remembrance Walk
Westland MLK Celebration and Remembrance Walk – The City will start with a remembrance walk to commemorate his life and legacy followed by our annual ceremony to express how Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. had inspired us, what his message means to us, and to help inspire people to continue with his message and help make the world a more inclusive and righteous place for us and our children to live in.
