Bowers Farm Winter Park
Bowers Farms Winter Park – Wednesdays, 5p-9p, Thursdays 5p-9p, Fridays 4p-10p, Saturdays noon-10p, Sundays noon-9p
Skating – Weather permitting and bring your own skates. Admission is $5. Skating is FREE, skate rental is $8. Winter Park has much to offer including tubing and $17 glow tubing (appointments required), ice skating (weather permitting, bring your own skates), hot cocoa, bonfires, food at the Farmers Kitchen and more. Tubing (unfortunately) isn’t FREE (it’s actually quite expensive) and you have to pre-register which takes the starch out of a spur-of-the-moment experience.
Indian Springs Homeschool Nature Explorers
Indian Springs Homeschool Nature Explorers at Indian Springs Metropark – (248-625-6640, metroparks.com)
Homeschool Nature Club is a monthly drop off program geared towards homeschool children ages 7-14 years old. The third Thursday of each month will cover a different topic with a lesson, hike, fun experiments, and activities. This is a great chance to supplement your at-home learning. Ages 7-14. $10 Child. Indian Springs Metropark Easter Egg Scramble Along the Trail at Indian Springs Metropark Participants will search for eggs hidden in themed locations along the trail. Keep an eye out for our favorite busy bunny getting ready for Easter. Bring your camera to capture photos along the way. Please bring a basket or bag to collect eggs. All ages event. $6 per person.
