Who Barks in Red Oaks Park at Red Oaks Nature Center (248-585-0100). Search for canine creatures lurking around the bends of
Friendship Woods and make a craft celebrating International Wolf Day. This program is suitable for ages 5 and up. Cost is $5/person. Southfield Outdoor Movie Nights
Southfield Outdoor Movie Nights – Southfield MI will host outdoor summer movie nights under the stars as part of their Family Fun Nights hosted periodically throughout the summer.
Previous years have offered fun for the whole family featuring a Kids’ Fun Area with loads of inflatables (you MUST wear socks to participate on the inflatables!), rock climbing wall and more.
Be sure to bring your lawn chairs or a blanket to sit and enjoy the movie. Refreshments will be available for purchase.

Wixom Summer Family Fun Nights
Wixom Summer Family Fun Nights is a series of FREE family fun events that take place in Downtown Wixom’s Sibley Park ALL SUMMER LONG.
Wixom Summer Family Fun Days at Sibley Park takes place on Thursdays from 6p-7:30p before the Wixom Summer Concerts series. Each Thursday evening will have a new, festive theme. All events are weather permitting and exact times are dependent on the event.

Full Moon Fridays Farmington Hills – Enjoy the evening air as you head into Heritage Park after dark at a Full
Moon Friday Night Hike. Listen for nocturnal animals, observe the night sky, and heighten your senses along the way. Cost is $5 per person. Pre-registration required. nature fun as they increase their love for the outdoors. A naturalist will engage children with a story, nature talk and a related hands-on activity. Each child will make a craft to take home. Waterford Oaks Wave Pool Dog Swim
Waterford Oaks Wave Pool Dog Swim – at Waterford Oaks County Park. All dogs owners must show valid Michigan dog license and proof of current vaccinations at the time of the event. Dogs swim by weight category. Three swims: Noon-12:50p – 70lbs plus, 1p-1:50p – 31lbs-69lbs, 2p-2:50p – 30lbs and under. Pre-registration cost is $10/dog and includes admission, contest entry, a gift for owner, and one 50-minute swim session. On-site registration is $15/dog if availability allows. Southfield Free Summer Concerts
Southfield Free Summer Concerts – Southfield Gazebo Summer Concert Series, Eat to the Beat, Summer in the City, and Kids Concerts concerts are happening this summer. Southfield will be hosting the Gazebo Summer Concert series at Burgh Historical Park on Tuesday evenings from 7p-8:30p. Bring the family and enjoy the music!
You can also enjoy the Eat to the Beat summer morning concert series on select one Thursday a month at Civic Center Drive and Central Park Boulevard, and the Friday Night Concert Series at the Southfield Municipal Complex.

Red Oaks Nature Center Homeschool Series (248-585-0100) A new homeschool theme each month. Homeschool sessions are adapted for two age groups: Ages 6-9 and ages 10-13.
Cost is $10/child/session. Preregistration with payment is required by calling 248-858-0916 weekdays or online. No on-site registration will be available. Sessions are designed as a drop-off program for youth. All students are welcome. Hosted by Oakland County Parks and Recreation.
