Pontiac’s Annual Community Autism Event – This is a FREE event. Donations are accepted. The event will consist of over 15 different activity stations for the children to make, create and play however they’d like. The event will provide food and snacks, gift bags, raffles, bounce houses, face paintings, live performances etc. For more info, email joyallen22@gmail.com.
Hockey Mentors for Special Olympians – Hockey Mentors offers an afternoon of free hockey and ice skating for individuals with any type of special needs, whether that is cognitive, physical or emotional, their family and caregivers. The family friendly event, taking place in two of the Troy Sports Center rinks, includes skate rental, hockey equipment, lunch, t-shirt for those skating and a jersey for guests trying out hockey. Highland Trick or Trucks – at Milford High School ( 2380 S Milford Rd, Highland, MI 48357)
Not only will kids get the experience of trick or treating, but they will also get to see the area’s biggest trucks. Possible trucks will include a dump truck, fire engine, bulldozer, and more. Oakland Mall Witchypoo Revue – Dance and sing along with Witchypoo and all of her Halloween friends in a musical spooktacular. 1p, 2p, 3p, & 4p. Each performance will be followed by a brief meet & greet. No ticket required. Arrive early for best viewing. Limited seating available. Costumes welcome. Highland Kris Kringle Market & Tree Lighting will have the Kris Kringle Market from 5p-9p and the tree lighting at 7p. Event will be held at Veteran’s Park (Livingston and John St). Annual tree-lighting ceremony features caroling, light refreshments, crafts, and a visit from Santa Claus. After Santa arrival, activities take place across the street at 205 W Livingston. Heritage Park Sweetheart Stroll – Celebrate Valentines Day with a candle-lit hike through the trails of Heritage Park. Duck Lake Pines Park Egg Hunt – a Huron Valley Egg Hunt. Join the Easter Bunny for photos, face painting, goodie bags and more Easter fun. Bring your camera.
