Ferndale Jingle & Mingle
Ferndale Jingle & Mingle takes place in Downtown Ferndale. Hours are Saturday from 10a-9p and Sunday from
11a-6p. This year’s event will feature DJ sounds, live entertainment, special PATIO Zone holiday drinks at local bars and restaurants, and a holiday market. Stop by the event while shopping and dining in Downtown Ferndale. Hosted by the City of Ferndale.

Ferndale Santa Parade
Ferndale Santa Parade takes place in Downtown Ferndale. Santa is coming to downtown. Check out Santa as he rides through downtown on a Firetruck and stops at Wilson Park at 1p, 1:30p at Geary Park, and 2p at Schiffer Park for 15 minutes at each location followed by crafts, letter writing, cookies, and s’mores from 2p to 4p at Schiffer Park. Hosted by the Downtown Ferndale DDA.

Waterford FREE Platform Tennis Open House – at Waterford Oaks County Park Near Paradise Peninsula Playscape This free clinic is a opportunity to test drive the sport of platform tennis. Extra equipment available on site for first time players or those who do not have their own paddles or paddle balls. Instruction from Waterford Paddle Club. Dress for the weather. Heritage Park Sweetheart Stroll – Celebrate Valentines Day with a candle-lit hike through the trails of Heritage Park. Share your love of nature as you discover the courtship and mating behaviors of native animals. Complete the evening with a warm drink and sweet treats at the Nature Center. Ages 18+. Ferndale Daddy Daughter Dance – The dance serves as an opportunity for fathers, uncles and other paternal (and maternal) figures to show the little princesses in their lives how special they are. Ferndale Easter Egg-Stravaganza
Ferndale Easter Egg-Stravaganza – Each hunt is FREE and will feature three parks, with areas for younger children. The schedule is as follows – 1p – Wilson Park (For Ages 1-4 Only); 1:30p – Geary Park; 2p – Martin Road Park.
At each site, children will have the opportunity to gather as many prize-filled eggs as they can. One egg in each section contains a special golden ticket that will grant its finder with a special Easter basket. Geary Park and Martin Road Park will each have an area dedicated to younger children (ages 1-4) and older children (ages 5-11). At Martin Road Park, children and parents will have the opportunity to meet and take pictures with the Easter Bunny. This is a FREE event, no pre-registration is required, but please consider donating to support Ferndale P&R programming. Hosted by Ferndale Parks & Recreation. Waterford Oaks Try BMX for Free
Waterford Oaks Try BMX for Free – Never experienced the thrill of BMX before? Try it for free! Riders must be
age two or older and wear long sleeve shirts, pants and closed-toe shoes (no Crocs). There is no charge for admission, bike rental, helmet rental or track time on free trial day. For more information, call 248-924-0043.
Must be a 2-wheeled bike (no training wheels) or a balance bike for our younger riders. Helmets are required, full-face helmets are recommended, long pants and long-shirts are also required. Waterford Oaks BMX does have a rental fleet of bikes and helmets. Limited to first come-first served at an additional cost.

Ferndale Memorial Day Parade
Ferndale Memorial Day Parade & Ceremony – Downtown Ferndale Michigan
The parade begins on Livernois at Maplehurst, north to Oakridge St, west to Pinecrest, south to Nine Mile Rd, east to Livernois, and south on Livernois to the Veteran’s Memorial Mall for ceremony at 11a. Hosted by the Ferndale Memorial Association.

Geary Park Skate Jam
Geary Park Skate Jam at Geary Skate Park. Skate contests presented by Ferndale Parks & Recreation. This event will feature
competitions in 4 categories: skateboarding, inline skating, BMX, and scooters. Participants will showcase their skills and compete for the coveted 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards in each category.
