Lost Lake Sledding Hill MLK Day – at Lost Lake Park. The BEST sled hill in Oakland County has their warming shelter open for some school’s out sledding! Make sure you call the sledding hotline at 248-651-4440 ext 299 before you head out to make sure the sled hill will be open! Review, Pics, Video.

Rochester Hills MLK Day Snowfort & Campfire
Rochester Hills MLK Day Snowfort & Campfire – Come dressed for the weather and ready towork and build an igloo-style snow fort. No snow? No problem. Create a fort made from other natural materials instead. Deconstruct the fort at the end and talk a bit about “leaving no trace”. A campfire and hot chocolate will also be provided. Royal Oak Middle School MLK Jr Service
Royal Oak Middle School MLK Jr Service – The community is invited to gather at Royal Oak Middle School for a freedom walk and donation drive. The march steps off 10a. After walk, return to ROMS for more activities such as card making, blanket making, making hygiene kits, and sorting donations. Donations are accepted from 8:30 – Noon. RARA Easter Egg Hunt
RARA Easter Egg Hunt – 9:30a & 11a (kids ages 1-4), 10a & 11:30a (kids ages 5-8) and 10:30a & Noon (kids ages 9-11) at RARA Fieldhouse. The Easter Bunny will be joining RARA for the family gathering and your child can have their picture taken with him. Bring your camera. Parents, grandparents and infants under 12 months are free. Addison Oaks Park/Day Use, Highland Oaks, Independence Oaks Park, Lyon Oaks Park/Day Use, Lyon Oaks Dog Park, Orion Oaks Park/Day Use, Orion Oaks Dog Park, Red Oaks Dog Park, Rose Oaks. Visitors can enjoy free daily park entry with access to natural areas, trails, dog parks and all park amenities.
