Campus Martius Park Carriage Rides take place during the holiday season on Fridays & Saturdays from November 18 through December 30. See Downtown Detroit at Christmastime like you never have before – from inside an enchanted horse drawn carriage. Carriage rides take off from the Woodward Esplanade, directly south of Campus Martius Park. Rides are $10 per person and last about 15 to 20 minutes. On site only. Photo visit with a special bunny, refreshments, craft projects an egg hunt with toys and candy-stuffed eggs and a few other surprises. Bring your own basket for filling with candy and prizes. Youth will be broken down by age for equal opportunity hunting for all. Pre-registration required, spaces are limited. Egg hunt will be held indoors in the event of inclement weather. Sylvan Lake Memorial Day Parade
Sylvan Lake Memorial Day Parade – 11a (lineup) / Parade at 11:30a at Sylvan Lake City Hall and Memorial Park.
The Parade will begin at 11:30a at City Hall and end at Memorial Park with a brief ceremony. Kids are welcome to decorate their bikes and participate in the parade. Veterans that wish to participate are asked to contact Jim Smith at 248-904-9085 to be recognized at Memorial Park ceremony. Kids can begin decorating their bikes for the bike parade (with supplies provided) at City Hall at 10:30a. If you would like to volunteer at the parade / ceremony please contact sylvanlakeparade@gmail.com.
