Stories. Tractor-drawn wagon ride along the nature trails with staff sharing stories about Stony Creek’s history and features. After, enjoy a campfire and interpreter-led stories. Weather Dependent. Stony Creek Nighttime Nature at Stony Creek Metropark – Stony Creek Metropark – (586-781-4242,
metroparks.com). A short presentation from a naturalist followed by an evening out on a nature walk. Ages 8+. $5 per person. Pre-registration is required online or by calling 586-781-9113. Clarkston Preschool Nature Program
Clarkston Preschool Nature Program at Wint Nature Center (248-625-6473). Children ages 3-6 can enjoy nature fun as they increase their love for the outdoors. A naturalist will engage children with a story, nature talk and a related hands-on activity. Each child will make a craft to take home. A different seasonal theme each month. Cost is $5/child. Troy Community Center Puzzle Palooza
Troy Community Center Puzzle Palooza – (248-524-3484). Teams of 2, 3, or 4 will compete against each
other to see who can finish a 500-piece jigsaw puzzle the quickest. Team fee includes puzzles to compete with and light snacks/refreshments. WB Parks Storytime and Fishing – Bassquatch – at Marshbank Park (248-451-1900, wbparks.org). Join Mike McKinstry, of “The
Bassquatch Hunter: Fish Out of Water” on the Discovery Channel, in this family-fun event. Mike will read his book, “The Adventures of Seth-Squatch”, do a craft and then hit the docks to fish. Fishing instruction is available. No experience is necessary. All supplies are included. Portions of this event will be filmed and used in an episode of The Bassquatch Hunter-Fish Out of Water. $5 resident / $7 non-resident. Pre-register here. Hosted by WB Parks.
