Light Up Beacon Park
Light Up Beacon Park is family fun at Beacon Park in Detroit. Children of all ages are invited to experience “Toyland” at Beacon Park with larger-than-life light features, including a Choo-Choo Train, Giant Teddy Bear and other photo moments. These new and returning interactive lighting features, totaling more than 125,000 twinkling LED lights will illuminate Beacon Park. Opening Night 11/18 from 5p-11:30p features dancers, live entertainment, live reindeer, Santa, and more. Hosted by the Downton Detroit Partnership.

Oh Deer, Santa’s Here at Heritage Park. Families will get a chance to visit and get photos with Santa outdoors at the historic Red Barn in Heritage Park. Bring your camera. Seasonal craft provided. The Nature Center will be open to visitors and a warm campfire will be going outside with hot cocoa. S’more kits will be available for additional purchase for $1 each. Please dress for winter weather. Each family will have limited time with Santa. Register yourself and bring up to 5 people of your choice (adults and children). If you have more than 6 in your group, please register for more than one spot. Hosted by the Farmington Hills Special Services Department. $15 res / $20 non res. Pre-registration required.

Troy Hot Cocoa with Santa
Troy Hot Cocoa with Santa at Mike Savoie Chevrolet is being held to gain toy donations for The Bottomless Toy Chest in Troy, MI. Each family will be required to donate one toy or activity per child to gain admission into the event. Upon admission, guests will also receive two raffle tickets as well for a chance to win one of our raffle prices.
“Santa Al” will have a festive yet beautiful background for professional photos. The Cappuccino Man will serve hot cocoa and cappuccinos to guests of the event, Wild Raspberry Face Painting face paint, and there will be coloring pages for restless little ones who are waiting to see Santa, plus raffles, and food trucks!

Campus Martius Park Carriage Rides
Campus Martius Park Carriage Rides take place during the holiday season on Fridays & Saturdays from November 18 through December 30. See Downtown Detroit at Christmastime like you never have before – from inside an enchanted horse drawn carriage. Carriage rides take off from the Woodward Esplanade, directly south of Campus Martius Park. Rides are $10 per person and last about 15 to 20 minutes. On site only.
