Have fun shooting at 3D zombies and other monstrous targets during Monster Mayhem. General archery instruction will be provided. All equipment is included. Clarkston Preschool Nature Program at Wint Nature Center (248-625-6473). Children ages 3-6 can enjoy nature fun as they increase their love for the outdoors. A naturalist will engage children with a story, nature talk and a related hands-on activity. Each child will make a craft to take home. A different seasonal theme each month. Cost is $5/child. Clarkston Friendly Forest Halloween Event – on Saturday between noon-3p (reserve your time slot). Presented by Independence Twp Parks Recreation & Seniors. Walk a friendly decorated trail to collect goodies from all of your favorite characters. For ages 2-9. You MUST pre-register for this event / tickets will NOT be sold on-site. Canterbury Village Tree Lighting
Canterbury Village Tree Lighting – This festive event is fun for the entire family, complete with entertainment and carolers. Shops throughout the quaint Village are open for holiday shopping, smores, hot cocoa, and hot cider stations are set up to enjoy near the outdoor firepits. Tree lighting at 6p. boutiques throughout and sample various cocoas. Each shop will feature their own unique chocolate inspired creation for attendees to sample. Kensington Weekend Hayrides or Sleigh Rides
Kensington Weekend Hayrides or Sleigh Rides at Kensington Metropark – (810-227-8910, metroparks.com)
Enjoy a horse-drawn, tractor-drawn hayride, or wintery horse-drawn sleigh ride (depending on the weather) through the wooded trails around the Farm Center. 20-minute hayrides. All ages. $3 child / $5 adult. Pre-registration is not required. Tickets for weekend hayrides are sold at the Farm Center Office.
