Oakland County Moms Calendar of Metro Detroit Summer Events
Oakland County Parks will mark the Juneteenth holiday by waiving vehicle entry fees on Monday, June 19. Oakland County Parks’ Mobile Recreation Unit will also be participating in local celebration and commemoration events honoring Juneteenth throughout Oakland County with fun, free activities such as inflatables, games, climbing towers and more.
Visitors can enjoy access to general park activities, including trails, dog parks, playgrounds, picnic areas, beaches and fishing spots from 30 minutes before sunrise to 30 minutes after sunset (unless otherwise posted).
Lexington Fireworks – Lexington Stare Harbor will glow with fireworks at dusk. The annual parade will follow on July 1 at 11a Music, entertainment and parade kick off the festivities. For more info, visit www.lexingtonmichigan.org
Bowers School Farm Fall Festival – Food, live music, entertainment, pumpkins, bounce houses, food trucks, cornhole contest and more. A Beer Garden will also be on site. Purchase tickets online in advance ($18) or at the door ($20). Hosted by Bower School Farm.
