Huntington Woods Halloween Pumpkin Carving & Storytime – Bring a pumpkin and carving utensils with you to carve your pumpkin. Oakland County Parks will mark the Juneteenth holiday by waiving vehicle entry fees on Monday, June 19. Oakland County Parks’ Mobile Recreation Unit will also be participating in local celebration and commemoration events honoring Juneteenth throughout Oakland County with fun, free activities such as inflatables, games, climbing towers and more.
Visitors can enjoy access to general park activities, including trails, dog parks, playgrounds, picnic areas, beaches and fishing spots from 30 minutes before sunrise to 30 minutes after sunset (unless otherwise posted).
Bloomfield Twp Open House – Held in conjunction with Fire Prevention Week Activities. Fire department demonstrations, food trucks, touch-a-truck, DPS truck rides, police car rides, hot dogs & cookies, petting zoo, rock climbing wall, and more. This is a FREE event. Hosted by West Bloomfield Twp.
Huntington Woods Fire Prevention Week Events – Hay Day / Touch a Truck / Public Safety Open House. At Burton Field (Huntington Woods, MI 48070, 248-541-3030). FREE hay rides, refreshments, crafts, games, pony rides, a petting farm. Touch a Truck event until 5:30p. Families with special needs are invited to arrive at 3:30p. Stonewall Pumpkin Festival at Van Hoosen Farms – This year’s Stonewall Pumpkin Festival returns to Van Hoosen Farms in Rochester Hills from 10a-4p (Pumpkin Carving and Fall activities) and 7p-9p where people will be allowed to view the lit pumpkins on the wall. Hosted by the City of Rochester Hills.
