RARA Trunk or Treat – at Rochester Avon Recreation Authority (RARA). Decorate your vehicle for a family friendly trunk or treat at RARA, rain or shine. Pass out candy (you supply) as trick or treaters travel around. Prizes for vehicles. Trunk or treating will be 7pm to 8pm. Cider and donuts will be provided towards the end for all attendees. RARA Milk & Cookies with Santa – Come to this special event and meet Santa! Take a picture with him as well as enjoy delicious milk and cookies. Take home holiday themed coloring pages and a holiday craft. Parents will receive a number at check in so that you can enjoy milk and cookies instead of waiting in line. Families will be emailed an exact time slot to meet Santa at. This is to try to avoid large crowds and long lines. Please remember, time slots are flexible. Red Oaks Nature Center Morning Munchkins – Story-time fun for preschool children. Bring your munchkin to the nature center for a seasonal story and a related hands-on, nature-based discovery activity. Cost is $4/child. Call 248-858-0916 weekdays to register. RARA Boo Bash – Come in your favorite or scariest costume. There will be prizes for best dressed, cider and donuts, bounce houses and a Halloween movie playing. RARA Pumpkin Roll – at Bloomer Park. Roll your old pumpkins and jack-o-lanterns down the big sled hill. Bring a wagon to haul your pumpkins to the sled hill. Targets will be setup at the bottom of the hill. If your pumpkin gets in the target or closest to the target, you will win a prize. Enjoy a bonfire and cider & donuts after the event. RARA Family Bingo Night – at Rochester Avon Recreation Authority. Head to RARA and join in for a fun family bingo event! Children of all ages are invited to attend. They will be playing 1 line bingo and every winner will get to choose a prize. The grand prize will be a RARA gift card to be used for future RARA programs. Cost is $25/family of 2 – 4 for residents and $30 for non-residents. Each additional family member past 4 members is $4 residents/$4.80 non-residents. Red Oaks Nature Center Homeschool Series (248-585-0100) A new homeschool theme each month.
Homeschool sessions are adapted for two age groups: Ages 6-9 and ages 10-13. Cost is $10/child/session. Preregistration with payment is required by calling 248-858-0916 weekdays or register online. No on-site registration will be available. Sessions are designed as a drop-off program for youth. All students are welcome. Hosted by Oakland County Parks and Recreation.

RARA Easter Egg Hunt
RARA Easter Egg Hunt – 9:30a & 11a (kids ages 1-4), 10a & 11:30a (kids ages 5-8) and 10:30a & Noon (kids ages 9-11) at RARA Fieldhouse. The Easter Bunny will be joining RARA for the family gathering and your child can have their picture taken with him. Bring your camera. Parents, grandparents and infants under 12 months are free.
