The splash pad area is open from 10a-8p 7 days a week summers from Memorial Day through Labor Day. The grand opening for the attraction was Saturday, July 16, 2022.
FERNDALE FREE SUMMER MOVIE NIGHTS
The Ferndale Splash Pad is… I’m estimating…. about 1600 square feet. The pad is dotted with a few sprayers and other water splashing features. The highlight is a tower with rotating water buckets that cascade and distributes water below as the buckets spin. There is a paved entrance to the pad from the parking lot and the pad is zero-depth entry throughout.
Ferndale Parks and Recreation / The City of Ferndale built the facility to use filtered, chlorinated water which is recirculated. The Splash Pad is unsupervised (no lifeguard) but has emergency phones located outside of the nearby restroom.
In addition to the splash pad, Martin Road Park features a small play structure, ball fields, and adequate picnic areas you can enjoy while visiting the new splash pad.

- Splash pad capacity is 280
- No pets
- No street shoes allowed
- No climbing on the splash pad sprayers and water features
- No bikes, skateboards etc
