Funway Amusements Farmington Hills / Sport-N-Fun is an older family entertainment fun zone. I don’t mean older as in dilapidated or run-down, the facility is older but well-maintained I prefer to think of it as a throwback retro family fun place. It has a definite 70s / 80s vibe to it, in a fun way. If you’re from Metro Detroit… Remember Butterfly arcade in Warren? Or Icebergs (before it became CJ Barrymore’s)? Sport-N-Fun reminds me of those places. Or, Sport-n-Fun Farmington Hills reminds me a mini golf center you’d see if you were vacationing “up North”.
Funway Amusements offers 54 holes of mini golf (3 courses), go karts, in-house pizza, batting cages, arcade games, and bungee trampoline. Funway also hosts birthday parties complete with a party room and food provided by GGs Pizza & More.

Each of the 3 18-hole mini golf courses contain fun obstacles and attractions straight from yesteryear. The course is well-maintained with fresh paint and brightly colored greens. You’ll encounter loop-de-loop ramps, classic windmills, and giant animals and mascots adorning the grounds. The course is fitted with overhead light poles throughout so you can play way past sunset. You can buy an 18-hole round for $8 OR play ALL 54 holes for just $18.
UPDATE – JULY 2024 – Funway has updated their mini-golf courses. Gone are the 3 courses featured in these pics and new ones featuring new layouts, obstacles, and a more “natural setting”. We’re looking forward to checking it out! Also, I’m told they’re updating their batting cages (which was needed). Congrats to Funway for taking the old Sport-N-Fun and modernizing it!
Funway Farmington Hills Go Karts
The Go Kart track at Sport-N-Fun is large with plenty of hairpin turns but… few straightaways. The karts are quick and the large track can accommodate a lot of riders at once. The course is slick and fast but we prefer the go kart track at Paradise Park Novi a bit more.

Other Fun Things To Do at Funway Amusements
There is indoor fun to be had at Funway with arcade games and indoor pizza parlor. Back outside, Sport’N’Fun has a 7 batting cages that offer slow pitch, fast pitch, baseball, and softball. The batting cages have been updated and modernized for 2024.
The arcade at Funway Amusements is nothing to write home about and best served as a rainy day option or something to do while you’re waiting for a pizza.
There is a large bounce house on site where the kids can jump for 25 minute intervals but will likely be an afterthought of any kids coming to Funway.
Funway also hosts a large Bungee Trampoline attraction that I’ve never seen anyone use. Like batting cages, I just don’t think kids today enjoy the Bungee Trampoline rides quite like kids a generation ago did. At least kids still enjoy the putt putt golf and go karts!
Funway Amusements in Farmington Hills might not offer the high-octane entertainment that other Metro Detroit entertainment facilities have, but it’s a nice throwback to when family fun entertainment was simpler – with some good old-fashioned mini golf zipping around the go kart track.
