Lake St Clair Squirt Zone / Splash Pad Info
The Squirt Zone Spray Ground at Lake St Clair Metropark is FREE for park visitors and open Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. Located between the 50-Meter outdoor pool and the beach on Lake St Clair, this splashpad is zero-entry safe for kids and extremely expansive. The Lake St Clair Metropark Splash Pad large play area is roped-in so it’s very easy to keep an eye on the kids. There are plenty of shaded picnic benches throughout the spray-area. Bring sunscreen! There isn’t much shade beyond the surrounding canopies. The Lake St Clair Metropark Splash Pad is open from 11a-7p every day from Memorial Day through Labor Day.

The 50-meter, Olympic-size outdoor pool at is both fun and extremely affordable. Pool use costs just $5 per day per user, the pool area is near modern locker room (with heated showers), bathroom facilities and an impressive Beachside Grill concession stand / beach shop. The pool isn’t just for lap swimming, it features a large waterslide, inflatable obstacle course, and climbing walls. Lifeguards are on duty throughout the pool’s open hours.
Beach swimming at Lake St Clair, pool swimming, or simply splashing at Squirt Zone… you can do all 3 at Lake St Clair Metropark. Beach swimming is FREE with a Metroparks vehicle admissions pass, so is Squirt Zone. Pool use is just $5 per day (kids under 30 inches tall are FREE).
In addition to water fun, it’s hard to beat the value you receive at LSCMP. In addition to the water features, there are summer camping events, a mini golf course, and expansive playground, Discovery Boat cruises, a par 3 golf course, great fishing, a boardwalk, and a nature center which hosts fun events for families all throughout the calendar year. New this year is Family Camping Events at your local Metroparks with Lake St Clair being a feature Metropark camping due to the numerous things to do at the Metroparks on any given day in the summertime.
There’s something to be said for the value of annual (or even daily) Metroparks Vehicle Pass. Once you have your yearly pass to any of the Metroparks, you get access to nearly every feature of the park for FREE. Even the features that aren’t FREE are extremely low-cost. Metropark golf courses and waterpark fees are nominal compared to other courses and other pools and waterparks by comparison.
