Buddy Baseball is a non-competitive, recreational sports league in Oakland County for boys and girls ages 7-14 with special needs. Each player will be paired with a “buddy” to assist as needed. This special needs baseball league program is hosted by Independence Township Parks & Recreation. This program is open to both residents and non-residents of Clarkston. More info...

Miracle League Baseball – Southfield
Special needs baseball league that provides children wtih disabilities an opportunity to play as a tean member in an organized league. Miracale League provides both non-competitive leagues and competitive leagues. Games are played in Southfield at a special field at the Southfield Municipal Complex. More info...

Indoor Soccer League for Individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders (Kids Ages 4-9). Instructed by a psychologist, participants will learn to play the game of soccer through simple drills and small games. Goals include strengthening motor skills, direction following and cooperative interaction with peers. More info...

Youth Basketball League for Individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders (Kids ages 6-9, 10-13 and ages 14+). Instructed by a psychologist, participants will learn basic basketball skills such as dribbling, shooting and team skills. SNAG (Starting New at Golf) Golf for Individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders (Kids ages 8+).
SNAG® stands for “Starting New at Golf”. SNAG® contains all the elements of golf but in a modified form. Falling somewhere between miniature golf and regulation golf, SNAG® allows for full shots, pitching, chipping and putting. The SNAG® ball is slightly smaller than a tennis ball and covered with loop material and has a limited distance. Parent participation is encouraged. This program is appropriate for individuals with the diagnosis of Asperger’s, High Functioning Autism or PDD/NOS. Siblings or peer buddy are also invited to register for this program. More info...

Troy Recreation Adaptive Sports Leagues – Troy
Fall & Winter 10 Week Leagues at the Troy Community Center for persons with developmental disabilities. Minimum age to participate is 16 years old. Drop-in (non league) Bowling for persons with developmental disabilities ages 10+ take place Saturdays in September through Mid May. Softball Leagues take place for teens and adults ages 16+ from May through August. Troy team plays against other adaptive rec teams in Oakland County. More info...
