April 9, 2018 through June 16, 2018 (SATURDAYS) from 10a-noon (except 4/26 & 5/28)
Special Needs Events – OUCARES Autism Spectrum Bowling League – Oakland County
Classic Lanes (2145 Avon Industrial Dr, Rochester Hills, MI 48309)
Our friends at Classic Lanes in Rochester Hills have teamed up with OUCARES (Oakland University Center for Autism Research, Education and Support) to form a bowling league for individuals ages 16-plus on the autism spectrum. This opportunity will allow ASD students (over 16) and adults to enhance physical activity in a social, community setting. No bowling experience is necessary to participate. The cost of the bowling league is $60. The parent/caregiver will need to remain with the bowler if one on one assistance is required. Click here for registration info.

5-Star Lanes (2666 Metro Pkwy, Sterling Heights, MI)
OUCARES (Oakland University Center for Autism Research, Education and Support) bowling league for individuals ages 15-plus on the autism spectrum. This opportunity will allow ASD students (over 15) and adults to enhance physical activity in a social, community setting. No bowling experience is necessary to participate. Special Needs Events – Bowling
Bowl One Lanes (1639 E 14 Mile Rd, Troy, MI)
$8 per week includes shoes and three games. Bowlers should arrive by 10:15 ready to play. Late arrivals will not be allowed to bowl. Drop-in. Minimum age – 10 years old. For more info, visit https://rec.troymi.gov/

Thursday, May 3 through August 2, 2018
Special Needs Events – Troy Softball (weather permitting)
Firefighter’s Park (1300 W Square Lake, Troy, MI)
Register now for the 2018 softball team. Practices will begin May 3, weather permitting. This activity is for ages 16 and older. Games begin in June through first week of August. Special Needs Events – My Turn – A Sensory Friendly Sunday at AAHOM
Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum (220 E Ann St, Ann Arbor, MI 48104)
FREE sensory-friendly experience designed for families affected by autism and other sensory processing challenges. AAHOM turned the lights and the noise down and are providing splash protection smocks, sunglasses, and ear protection to help visitors with sensory sensitivities enjoy the amazing exhibits and learning experiences the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum has to offer.
