Special Needs Events – OUCARES Autism Spectrum Bowling League – Oakland County
Classic Lanes (2145 Avon Industrial Dr, Rochester Hills, MI 48309)
Our friends at Classic Lanes in Rochester Hills have teamed up with OUCARES (Oakland University Center for Autism Research, Education and Support) to form a bowling league for individuals ages 16-plus on the autism spectrum. This opportunity will allow ASD students (over 16) and adults to enhance physical activity in a social, community setting. No bowling experience is necessary to participate. The cost of the bowling league is $60. The parent/caregiver will need to remain with the bowler if one on one assistance is required. Click here for registration info.

Special Needs Events – OUCARES Autism Spectrum Bowling League – Macomb County
5-Star Lanes (2666 Metro Pkwy, Sterling Heights, MI)

Special Needs Events – Troy Softball (weather permitting)
Firefighter’s Park (1300 W Square Lake, Troy, MI)
Register now for the 2018 softball team. Practices will begin May 3, weather permitting. This activity is for ages 16 and older. Games begin in June through first week of August. Special Needs Events – Dreams and Wings
Oakland County International Airport
Seated beside an experienced pilot, children ages 6-17 with developmental disabilities and up to two family members and/or friends can enjoy an airplane ride as well as a short ground school to learn about airplanes and how they fly; educational displays; fun activities and refreshments. Each child with a disability receives a Dreams and Wings T-shirt, gold aviator wings, commemorative flight certificate and lifelong memories. Friendship Circle plans activities and structure to give your child a memorable camp experience. Summer Day Camp will provide the opportunity to experience the fun of summer while developing a friendship with a volunteer and other campers. Formerly Wheelchair Daze, this event is for people of all ages with any form of disability and their immediate families. The popular event is always a fun time with carnival games, barrier-free boat rides, music, dancing, cotton candy and BBQ lunch. The entire event is FREE, including park admission and parking.
