Open Swim is offered DAILY. M-F from noon-2p, SAT from 1:15p-2:15p, SUN from 1p-2p
Swim School at Troy Gym 4 is a family-owned swim school in the Metro Detroit area. The water temperature stays between 87-90 degrees. Parents must accompany and be within arm’s reach of children 6 and younger or any child who cannot swim. There must be at least one adult for every two children. A limited number of lifejackets are available to borrow. Any Coast Guard Certified lifejacket is allowed. NO inflatable toys or floatation aids allowed. Must call ahead or register online to reserve your spot. Parents must remain on site with kids 9 and under. $10 per swimmer for 60 minutes.

open swim times vary through the days and through the seasons but 1-hr time slots are available 7-days per week. 10-swim punch cards are available for purchase or you can pay by the session. Children age nine and under must be accompanied by an adult in the pool. Please bring a lock if a locker is needed. You don’t have to be a Farmington Hills resident to participate in open swim. The Hawk Community Center Pool

Open swim is available at the Hawk Community Center pool with waterpark features in early evenings (extended hours on weekends) at the state-of-the-art pool. Novi offers open swim at Novi High School through the Novi Community Education programs. Open Swim hours vary per season and are subject to change but sessions of varying lengths are offered 6-days per week. Rochester / Rochester Hills Open Swim

The RCS Enrichment Department is known for their swim lessons but they do offer Open Swims at Rochester Adams HS. The dates and hours vary from season to season but average 1 day or evening per week (Saturday afternoons) for about 2 hours for open swim and 2 nights per week for adult lap swimming. You must purchase 10-visit swim punch cards cards which admits families up to 5 people. Children must be accompanied by an adult. You can purchase a pool punch card through RCS Enrichment Department (501 W University Drive, Rochester, MI 48307). Call for dates and more info. The phone number is 248-726-3165. Punch cards don’t expire.
The 2026 Schedule is Family Open Swims on Saturdays from 2:45p-4:45p from January 24 through May 9 but headsup… there are several of these dates that are unavailable. More info…

Offers a lap pool, indoor water slide for kids and more. A variety of classes, programs and special events are available. Open swim is available 3 days a week (schedule subject to change) usually on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays for 3.5-5 hour sessions. Kettering High School (2800 Kettering Drive, Waterford MI) and Waterford Mott High School (1151 Scott Lake Road, Waterford, MI) offer Oakland County open swim times for their pool and fitness centers. Some (not all) Metro Detroit Goldfish Swim School locations off Open Swim or “Family Swim”. These programs are usually offered 2-3 days per week for 1 hour or 1.5 hour sessions. You don’t even have to be a member and pre-registration is not required. Cost is around $10 per swimmer depending on location. To see if the Goldfish nearest you offers Family Swim / Open Swim, contact goldfishswimschool.com. Family Swim sessions may vary by location. For safety purposes, we require at least one adult to be in the water with each child who cannot swim independently during the open swim. Specific policies requiring adults in the water may vary by location. Some locations will also require that you register prior to attending our Family Swim.
