Oakland County Open Swim Programs

Farmington Hills Open Swim
The HAWK FH Community Center (29995 West 12 Mile Road, Farmington Hills, Michigan 48334, fhgov.com)
Costick Center (28600 W Eleven Mile Road, Farmington Hills, MI 48336)
Costick Center open swim times vary through the days and through the seasons but 1-hr time slots are available 7-days per week. 10-swim punch cards are available for purchase or you can pay by the session. Children age nine and under must be accompanied by an adult in the pool. Please bring a lock if a locker is needed. You don’t have to be a Farmington Hills resident to participate in open swim. The Hawk Community Center Pool – Open swim is available with waterpark features in early evenings (extended hours on weekends) at the state-of-the-art pool. For more info on open swim and swim programs at The Hawk, call 248-699-6700.

Novi Open Swim
Novi High School (24062 Taft Rd, Novi, MI 48375)
Novi offers open swim at Novi High School through the Novi Community Education programs. Open Swim hours vary per season and are subject to change but sessions of varying lengths are offered 6-days per week. Hosted by Novi Community Schools. For more info, click here.

Rochester Open Swim
Rochester High School (1361 Walton Blvd, Rochester Hills, MI 48309)
The dates and hours vary from season to season but average 1 night per week (usually Thursdays) for about 2 hours for open swim and 2 nights per week for adult lap swimming. You must purchase 10-visit swim punch cards cards which admits families up to 5 people. Children must be accompanied by an adult. You can purchase a pool punch card through RCS Enrichment Department (501 W University Drive, Rochester, MI 48307). Call for dates and more info. The phone number is 248-726-3165. Punch cards don’t expire.

Southfield Sports Arena (Southfield Sports Arena, 26000 Evergreen Road, Southfield, MI)
The Southfield Sports Arena pool offers Oakland County open swim during the summer months Mondays through Saturdays. Open Swim or “General Swim” is for kids & for adults (add a dollar to each for non-residents of Southfield). In addition to the Olympic sized pool, there is a children’s spray pool, climbing wall and 120-foot waterslide on site. Swim lessons are offered for ages three and up throughout the summer and season swim passes are available for individuals and families. The pool is available for rental for birthday and graduation parties as well as neighborhood gatherings. For more information please call the Southfield Sports Arena at 248-796-4640 or visit the Southfield Parks & Rec website. – CLOSED FOR 2022 – The City is currently reviewing options for building an indoor pool to replace the aging outdoor facility. Either way, it doesn’t look like there will an outdoor (or indoor) option available in Southfield any time soon.

South Lyon Open Swim
South Lyon High School (1000 N Lafayette St, South Lyon, MI)
Open swim available, usually 1-4 days per week depending on the season. Pay as you go. Bring exact change for a single visit or purchase a discount swim pass package of 10. Troy Community Center Aquatics
Troy Community Center (3179 Livernois, Troy, MI, 248-619-7270)
Offers a lap pool, indoor water slide for kids and more. A variety of classes, programs and special events are available. Open swim is available 3 days a week (subject to change). Daily passes for the Troy Family Aquatic Center are available for residents (discounted) and for non-residents. Contact the Troy Recreation Department for more info. 248-524-3484. website.

Waterford Open Swim
Kettering High School (2800 Kettering Drive, Waterford MI) and Waterford Mott High School (1151 Scott Lake Road, Waterford, MI) offer Oakland County open swim times for their pool and fitness centers. Call 248-673-9969 (Kettering) or 248-674-6360 (Mott) to ask about specific open swim time hours. Flexible hours. You just have to purchase a Day Pass to use the pool facilities. They even rent the pools for parties. More info
