Royal Park Hotel Gingerbread Display 2020 – Review, pics, & video for the 2020 holiday season. The giant gingerbread forest returns to the lobby of the Royal Park Hotel in Downtown Rochester with a newer theme for a safe social distancing display for 2020 due to covid.

This year’s display was put together with the covid pandemic in mind. The gingerbread stations are spaced out throughout the halls of the hotel so you can visit each station and still manage to keep safe social distancing practices in place. Of course, keep your masks on. Visit the Gingerbread train, see the characters from Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (including Bumble, & Yukon Cornelius), the Peanuts Gang, The Grinch, the Giant Gingerbread House, and more! The displays runs through January 2, 2021 and you’re welcome to visit any time. HINT – the backdrops make for wonderful Christmas Card photos so bring your camera. Per usual… the lobby smells WONDERFUL – and the gingerbread aroma permeates the entire hotel this year because the display is spread out.

The annual gingerbread creation has grown from a gingerbread house, to a gingerbread lighthouse, to a gingerbread train, and now as a gingerbread forest! The new forest features gingerbread trees, gingerbread houses, gingerbread children, a gingerbread-inspired train, and more!

Royal Park Hotel Gingerbread Attractions Through The Years

Since 2009, the Royal Park Hotel has partnered with The Salvation Army which accepts donations for those in need. The Salvation Army will have the Red Kettle ready for donations. Additionally, Park 600 (The Royal Park Hotel’s restaurant) will donate $1 from every dessert sold will support The Salvation Army of Metro Detroit’s 2020 Red Kettle Campaign. There will also be an online auction of a watercolor painting of The Royal Park Express held online to benefit the Salvation Army’s effort this holiday season. You can learn more at salmich.org.
