Best Christmas Events #2 – Downtown Rochester Big Bright Light Show – Now in its 13th year, the Big Bright Light Show uses over 1.2 MILLION Christmas lights to turn Downtown Rochester into Clark Griswold’s dream Christmas city. Spend an evening enjoying the fine dining in Rochester or just hop in the car and drive down Main Street with the family for the “oohs and ahhhs”. Nightly from 5p-midnight through New Year’s Day. Christmas Events #3Winter Wonder Lights – Located at Meadow Brook Hall on the grounds of Oakland University. Not to be outdone by the mansion’s indoor Holiday Walk, the gardens and grounds at Meadow Brook mansion are transformed into a cavalcade of holiday lights, illusion, and a little magic. Christmas Events #3 – Santa House – Santa Claus visits his cute little house in Birmingham on weekends from Thanksgiving through Christmas. It’s the perfect place for photo ops. More info… Schedule a visit

Christmas Events #4 – Holiday Stroll at Canterbury Village – The Lake Orion Holiday Stroll welcomes the Christmas season with live characters, scenes for photo ops, and red and green glowing lamp posts, and… of course… awesome Christmas lights. Christmas Event #5 – DTE Magic of Lights – A dazzling, drive-through holiday lights experience featuring favorite holiday scenes and characters of the season using the latest LED technology and digital animations. Best Metro Detroit Christmas Events #6Royal Park Hotel Gingerbread Forest – Each year the Royal Park Hotel in Downtown Rochester has a GIANT Gingerbread creation in their lobby (through New Year’s). HINT – it’s the perfect place to take the kids for Christmas Card photos. It’s worth the trip just for the aroma alone!
