Seymour Lake Park Oxford Sledding Hill
Seymour Lake Park sled hill is what I’d call an intermediate or medium-size sledding hill. Not the greatest sledding from a thrills and chills standpoint but fun nonetheless in large part to the numerous conveniences of Seymour Lake Park itself. I’ll expand…
Seymour Lake Park sledding in Oxford is convenient because the 125 acre park is extremely well-maintained by the Oxford Township Parks & Rec Department. Parking is extremely close to the hill and the sled hill is well-defined with fences surrounding it. There are benches at the top of the sled hill for quick rests before shooting up and down the hill.
Also… don’t discount the benefit of the bathrooms in remarkable close proximity to the Seymour Lake Park sled hill. Not a lot of parks that feature sled hills in Oakland County can boast that triple-threat of amenities. It’s an easy place to take the kids to sled! Sled hill hours are from 8a-8p during the winter season.
While Seymour Lake Park’s sled hill might not be the biggest and baddest in the area, it’s still a great place to take the kids if you’re in the Oxford, Clarkston, Orion Township or Lake Orion area. Parking is so close, you can stay inside your car while you monitor your child(ren).

In addition to the Red Flyer Run sled hill, Seymour Lake Park features: lit tennis courts, a spraypark, four baseball diamonds, four softball diamonds, concession stands, fitness trails, sand volleyball courts, six soccer fields, 18-hole disk golf course and giant “Kids Kingdom” playground/playscape. It’s a great park to visit in any season. Seymour Lake Park hours are from 8a-10p year around.
