Campus Martius Valentine’s Day Sweetheart Skate – What’s more romantic than gliding along the ice hand-in-hand with your sweetheart while enjoying majestic views of the Detroit skyline? The rink will be lit up with the colors of love and feel-good ballads and classic love songs will fill the air. All couples are welcome to join this celebration of love. Tickets and skate rentals may be purchased onsite at the park and are offered on a first come, first served basis. Admission – Adults $12, Under 12 $9.
Sloan Museum Galentine’s Party – 810-237-3450, sloanlongway.org. Pamper and spoil yourself and your besties with shopping, karaoke and more. All four museum galleries will be open to event attendees until 8p. A cash bar and the Coffee Beanery Cafe will also be open for food and beverage purchases during the event. Royal Oak Memorial Day Parade – The parade will start at Main Street & Lincoln and will proceed north to Second Street The parade has been held on Memorial Day for several decades as a respectful tribute to our veterans – past and present. RARA Boo Bash – Come in your favorite or scariest costume. There will be prizes for best dressed, cider and donuts, bounce houses and a Halloween movie playing. RARA Pumpkin Roll – at Bloomer Park. Roll your old pumpkins and jack-o-lanterns down the big sled hill. Bring a wagon to haul your pumpkins to the sled hill. Targets will be setup at the bottom of the hill. If your pumpkin gets in the target or closest to the target, you will win a prize. Enjoy a bonfire and cider & donuts after the event. This is a FREE event. No pre-registration required. Hosted by RARA.
RARA Family Bingo Night – at Rochester Avon Recreation Authority. Head to RARA and join in for a fun family bingo event! Children of all ages are invited to attend. They will be playing 1 line bingo and every winner will get to choose a prize. The grand prize will be a RARA gift card to be used for future RARA programs. Cost is $25/family of 2 – 4 for residents and $30 for non-residents. Each additional family member past 4 members is $4 residents/$4.80 non-residents. Heritage Park Sweetheart Stroll
Heritage Park Sweetheart Stroll – Celebrate Valentines Day with a candle-lit hike through the trails of Heritage Park. Share your love of nature as you discover the courtship and mating behaviors of native animals. Complete the evening with a warm drink and sweet treats at the Nature Center. Ages 18+.
