Tollgate Farm Pumpkinfest at MSU Tollgate Farm. Take a wagon ride to the pumpkin patch to pick your perfect pumpkin. Many events FREE, some with small fees. Food, music, farm animals, educational exhibits, and children’s activities all make for a fun fall outing for all ages. $5 per person, 3 and under FREE. Stonewall Pumpkin Festival at Van Hoosen Farms – This year’s Stonewall Pumpkin Festival returns to Van Hoosen Farms in Rochester Hills from 10a-4p (Pumpkin Carving and Fall activities) and 7p-9p where people will be allowed to view the lit pumpkins on the wall. Hosted by the City of Rochester Hills.

Kensington Metropark Snacks with Santa – (810-227-8910, metroparks.com). A holiday season tradition at the Farm. Each visit includes a horse-drawn hayride or sleigh ride (weather dependent on which is available), a holiday sing-a-long, (complete with cozy blankets, song sheets, and jingle bells), snacks, (fruit, cookies, juice, hot cocoa, and coffee), and most importantly, a visit with Santa by the Christmas Tree. All ages. $12 per person. Pre-registration is required online or by calling 810-227-8910. A Metroparks daily or annual vehicle pass is required to enter any Metropark. Indian Springs Metropark Santa’s Candy Cane Trail – Take a stroll along the candy cane trail for a chance to meet a variety of winter characters. You’ll even get a magical chance to see Santa before his big night. Write your letters to Santa at home and stop by Santa’s mailbox during the program to deliver your letters. Each household will start at their registered time. All ages. $6 per person / Under 2 FREE. Advanced pre-registration required online or call 248-625-7280. Heritage Park Sweetheart Stroll
Heritage Park Sweetheart Stroll – Celebrate Valentines Day with a candle-lit hike through the trails of Heritage Park. Share your love of nature as you discover the courtship and mating behaviors of native animals. Complete the evening with a warm drink and sweet treats at the Nature Center. Ages 18+.
