Kensington Metropark Snacks with Santa
Kensington Metropark Snacks with Santa – (810-227-8910, metroparks.com). A holiday season tradition at the Farm. Each visit includes a horse-drawn hayride or sleigh ride (weather dependent on which is available), a holiday sing-a-long, (complete with cozy blankets, song sheets, and jingle bells), snacks, (fruit, cookies, juice, hot cocoa, and coffee), and most importantly, a visit with Santa by the Christmas Tree. All ages. $12 per person. Pre-registration is required online or by calling 810-227-8910. A Metroparks daily or annual vehicle pass is required to enter any Metropark. South Lyon Daddy Daughter Dance – 3p-5p or 6p-8p (2 sessions to choose from). Open to non-residents. 70s Theme. The dance is broken down into two time slots; 3-5pm and 6-8pm. SLARA recommends that children 6 & under sign up for the first time slot. Children 7+ sign up for the 6-8pm time slot. This is only a recommendation, children 3+ are invited to both time slot. Lake Orion / Orion Twp Easter Bunny Bop – at Orion Center 9:30a, 11a, & 12:30p (3 different sessions)
Photo visit with a special bunny, refreshments, craft projects an egg hunt with toys and candy-stuffed eggs and a few other surprises. Bring your own basket for filling with candy and prizes. Youth will be broken down by age for equal opportunity hunting for all. Pre-registration required, spaces are limited. Egg hunt will be held indoors in the event of inclement weather. Royal Oak Memorial Day Parade – The parade will start at Main Street & Lincoln and will proceed north to Second Street The parade has been held on Memorial Day for several decades as a respectful tribute to our veterans – past and present. South Lyon Memorial Day Parade
South Lyon Memorial Day Parade – Organized by VFW Post 2502. The parade launches at 9a from Bartlett Elementary and makes its way down 10 Mile through downtown. The parade ends in the South Lyon Cemetery with a ceremony that commemorates the contributions and sacrifices of all veterans. Organized by South Lyon VFW Post 1224.
