Full Moon Fridays Farmington Hills – Enjoy the evening air as you head into Heritage Park after dark at a Full

Moon Friday Night Hike. Listen for nocturnal animals, observe the night sky, and heighten your senses along the way. Cost is $5 per person. Pre-registration required. nature fun as they increase their love for the outdoors. A naturalist will engage children with a story, nature talk and a related hands-on activity. Each child will make a craft to take home. Red Oaks Nature Center Homeschool Series (248-585-0100) A new homeschool theme each month. Homeschool sessions are adapted for two age groups: Ages 6-9 and ages 10-13.

Cost is $10/child/session. Preregistration with payment is required by calling 248-858-0916 weekdays or online. No on-site registration will be available. Sessions are designed as a drop-off program for youth. All students are welcome. Hosted by Oakland County Parks and Recreation.

Farmington Hills Heritage Celebration

Farmington Hills Heritage Celebration – The City of Farmington Hills invites children and adults of all ages to celebrate history during the City’s annual Heritage Celebration. The cost to participate per adult is  $5 admission or $8 admission if you want a hayride included. Children ages two and younger will be admitted free. Hayrides are scheduled to leave every half hour throughout the event and will end at 7p. Space is limited. S’mores kits will also be available to enjoy at the campfire at a cost of $1 per kit. Kids Night at the Hawk

Kids Night at the Hawk Community Center – Parents can plan a special night-out while kids get to enjoy a night-in at the Hawk Community Center. Hawk Recreation Staff will plan and oversee activities for a fun-filled night. You do not need to be a passholder to participate. Emergency form must be filled out at check-in. Participants will have supervised access to the pool and should bring a swimsuit if they wish to participate in pool activities. AGES 5-11. Resident/Non-Resident $25/$30. To register.
