Kensington Metropark Snacks with Santa

Kensington Metropark Snacks with Santa – (810-227-8910, metroparks.com). A holiday season tradition at the Farm. Each visit includes a horse-drawn hayride or sleigh ride (weather dependent on which is available), a holiday sing-a-long, (complete with cozy blankets, song sheets, and jingle bells), snacks, (fruit, cookies, juice, hot cocoa, and coffee), and most importantly, a visit with Santa by the Christmas Tree. All ages. $12 per person. Pre-registration is required online or by calling 810-227-8910. A Metroparks daily or annual vehicle pass is required to enter any Metropark. You can purchase an annual pass HERE.

Ferndale Easter Egg-Stravaganza

Ferndale Easter Egg-Stravaganza – Each hunt is FREE and will feature three parks, with areas for younger children. The schedule is as follows – 1p – Wilson Park (For Ages 1-4 Only); 1:30p – Geary Park; 2p – Martin Road Park.
At each site, children will have the opportunity to gather as many prize-filled eggs as they can. One egg in each section contains a special golden ticket that will grant its finder with a special Easter basket. Geary Park and Martin Road Park will each have an area dedicated to younger children (ages 1-4) and older children (ages 5-11). At Martin Road Park, children and parents will have the opportunity to meet and take pictures with the Easter Bunny. This is a FREE event, no pre-registration is required, but please consider donating to support Ferndale P&R programming. Hosted by Ferndale Parks & Recreation. The parade begins on Livernois at Maplehurst, north to Oakridge St, west to Pinecrest, south to Nine Mile Rd, east to Livernois, and south on Livernois to the Veteran’s Memorial Mall for ceremony at 11a. Hosted by the Ferndale Memorial Association.

Geary Park Skate Jam

Geary Park Skate Jam at Geary Skate Park. Skate contests presented by Ferndale Parks & Recreation. This event will feature

competitions in 4 categories: skateboarding, inline skating, BMX, and scooters. Participants will showcase their skills and compete for the coveted 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards in each category.
