West Bloomfield Parks National Trails Day – Walnut Creek Middle School. Meet and park at Walnut Creek
Middle School for a walk along our scenic and historic rail-to-trail network ending at Sylvan Manor Park. There will be naturalist on the trail to answer all of your questions or discuss what you discovered along the way. Free shirts are passed out between 8a-8:30a at a first come, first served basis while supplies last. This is a FREE event. No pre-registration required. Hosted by WB Parks.

Red Oaks Preschool Nature Program
Red Oaks Preschool Nature Program – Red Oaks Nature Center (248-585-0100). Children ages 3-6 can enjoy
nature fun as they increase their love for the outdoors. A naturalist will engage children with a story, nature talk and a related hands-on activity. Each child will make a craft to take home. West Bloomfield Parks Go Fish Event – Marshbank Park (wbparks.org)
Join WB Parks on the fishing pier located on Cass Lake to share in this great outdoor pastime. WB Parks will have staff on hand with a limited number of fishing poles provided for hands-on instruction to get you and your child started. Win a fishing themed prize if you catch the smallest or the largest fish. A simple craft and game will be available in case the fish aren’t biting. $9 resident / $11 non-resident. Southfield Free Summer Concerts – Southfield Gazebo Summer Concert Series, Eat to the Beat, Summer in the City, and Kids Concerts concerts are happening this summer. Southfield will be hosting the Gazebo Summer Concert series at Burgh Historical Park on Tuesday evenings from 7p-8:30p. Bring the family and enjoy the music!
You can also enjoy the Eat to the Beat summer morning concert series on select one Thursday a month at Civic Center Drive and Central Park Boulevard, and the Friday Night Concert Series at the Southfield Municipal Complex.

Madison Heights Juneteenth Celebration – Family-friendly festival that attracts visitors from across the Metro Detroit Area. Southfield Outdoor Movie Nights
Southfield Outdoor Movie Nights – Southfield MI will host outdoor summer movie nights under the stars as part of their Family Fun Nights hosted periodically throughout the summer.
Previous years have offered fun for the whole family featuring a Kids’ Fun Area with loads of inflatables (you MUST wear socks to participate on the inflatables!), rock climbing wall and more.
Be sure to bring your lawn chairs or a blanket to sit and enjoy the movie. Refreshments will be available for purchase.
