Sylvan Lake Memorial Day Parade
Sylvan Lake Memorial Day Parade – 11a (lineup) / Parade at 11:30a at Sylvan Lake City Hall and Memorial Park.
The Parade will begin at 11:30a at City Hall and end at Memorial Park with a brief ceremony. Kids are welcome to decorate their bikes and participate in the parade. Veterans that wish to participate are asked to contact Jim Smith at 248-904-9085 to be recognized at Memorial Park ceremony. Kids can begin decorating their bikes for the bike parade (with supplies provided) at City Hall at 10:30a. If you would like to volunteer at the parade / ceremony please contact sylvanlakeparade@gmail.com.

Red Oaks Preschool Nature Program – Red Oaks Nature Center (248-585-0100). Children ages 3-6 can enjoy
nature fun as they increase their love for the outdoors. A naturalist will engage children with a story, nature talk and a related hands-on activity. Each child will make a craft to take home. Village of Rochester Hills Music & Me Wednesdays
Village of Rochester Hills Music & Me Wednesdays at Festival Park. Children will be able to sing, dance, and
interact with each other during this fun morning performance. Bring a blanket and be prepared to be inspired by the musical talents of your children. This class is geared towards children birth to five years old. The program recognizes early childhood music for infants to kindergartners with adult involvement. Troy Library Summer Reading Kick-Off
Troy Library Summer Reading Kick-Off – Families of children ages 0–13 are invited to join. TPL will host a variety of activity stations including a bounce house (socks required), a petting zoo, outdoor games, crafts, and more. Children who complete at least six activities will earn a cool treat. Families who would like to enjoy dinner while at the event can choose to purchase food at a food truck. Hosted by troypl.org.
