Oakland County Moms Calendar of Metro Detroit Summer Events
Clinton Twp Fireworks – at 6p (fireworks start at 10p). Preshow fun (fun for kids, live music) begins at 6p. Food vendors available on-site. Shuttle service and additional parking available at Erie Elementary, 9th Grade Center and St Paul of Tarsus Church. For people with loved ones interred at Resurrection Cemetery, the cemetery is extending hours on 7/4 & 7/5 to allow for visitors to share the 7/5 fireworks with their loved one. Kids Building Michigan Touch A Truck – at Seymour Lake Park. Hands on fun. See exciting demonstrations, run heavy machinery, and climb on trucks at the Touch a Truck event. Detroit Zoo Tons of Trucks – Interact with vehicles of all shapes and sizes at the Detroit Zoo. At Tons of Trucks, you’ll touch and climb trucks, lifts and carts used by Detroit Zoo staff, and see vehicles from local police and fire departments, construction companies and more. $3. Keep the fun going with a discounted visit to the Zoo. Does not include parking ($8). After the event, show your Tons of Trucks ticket at the Detroit Zoo admission gate and receive $3 off your total transaction. Purchase tickets here
Wheels & Squeals Touch a Truck – FREE touch a truck event a Hawthorne Park. Parking on site is extremely limited. Take advantage of the free shuttle provided by Oakland County Parks. Pick up from Marimont Church on Walton Blvd. 424 W Walton Blvd, Pontiac, MI 48340. Shuttle run from 4:45p – 8p. This event is free and open to the public. Contact 248-858-0916 for more information.
