Heritage Park Sled Hill Farmington Hills review, pics, and video. Heritage Park in Farmington Hills has a large sled hill on the north side of the park near the playground at the Heritage Park Nature Center entrance of the park. Heritage Park is located on Farmington Road between 11 Mile Rd & 10 Mile Rd in Farmington Hills, Michigan.

Farmington / Farmington Hills residents may be familiar with Shiawassee sled hill near 10 Mile Rd and Orchard Lake Rd. The sledding hill at Heritage Park is slightly less steep than Shiawassee but the Heritage Park hill is a bit longer and the scenery is breathtaking! (see photo gallery below). Facing north on Scenic Overlook, you’ll see the snow-covered hills and trees at the top of the hill making it quite an experience.

Don’t get too taken in by the scenery, Heritage Park sled hill is plenty fast! Steep enough for long, swift sled runs (see video). Hay bale barricades clearly mark the walking path to get back to the top of the hill.

Access to the sled hill is easy… just a short jaunt from the playground parking lot and you’re at the hill and ready to sled. The sledding hill doesn’t have a warming station or indoor restrooms close-by but guests are more than welcome to visit the Farmington Hills Nature Center inside Heritage Park for coffee, hot chocolate and bathroom visits. The Nature Center is just a quick drive down the path within the park (and quite an attraction in and of itself).
