Heritage Park Splash Pad Farmington Hills review, pics, hours and info. Heritage Park has a splash pad spray park area located in the main area of the park near the pavilion area, concert amphitheatre, and winter-time sled hill. If you’re coming in from the main entrance off of Farmington Rd, stay to the road on your right and it will lead you to the splash pad area.

Heritage Park Splash Pad Review
Heritage Park Splash Pad is small on thrills and frills but it gets the job done on a hot summer day. The spray areas contain several fountains, buckets, water guns, and mini soak arches to run through. The high buckets fill up and dump all over the kids. I’d estimate the entire spray area to be only around 2000 square feet, but there’s plenty of chilly water fun to be had in that small area! The perimeter of the spray pad is dotted with benches and picnic tables.

There is no fence or barrier surrounding the splash area so it is imperative that you keep an eye on your children. You’ll be grateful there is a covered restroom / shelter nearby for changing (no porto-johns thank goodness). They even have a “Snack Shack” concession stand that is open from 11a-7p. The prices for concessions are very affordable.
There are better spray pads in Oakland County, but this is a great one to visit because it’s absolutely FREE (even park entry and parking is FREE).

The event is for children ages three to six accompanied by an adult. Participants will meet on the new Discovery Trail near the Splash Pad for stories, rhymes, and movement. Then everyone is welcome to stay and play with outdoor toys, explore the Discovery Trail or head to the Splash Pad for some fun in the water.
Story Time by the Splash Pad is FREE. No pre-registration is necessary. Please visit the Farmington Community Library or call 248-848-4315 for more information about this program.
Heritage Park is easily one of my favorite parks in Oakland County. After the splash pad, there is still plenty to do. Heritage Park has a world-class nature center which offers great summer camps and FREE programs. You may also want to visit their interactive Nature Discovery Trail. Or, they host free concerts in the summer at their amphitheatre. Don’t forget the great sled hill at Heritage Park when the snow flies.
