Halloween Trick or Treat hours and times vary, with some degree, from community to community in Oakland County. Many communities don’t recognize a specific or set time for trick or treating and leave trick or treating to the discretion of resident passing out the candy. The approach to these communities, to quote an Oakland County City Clerk of a major Oakland County city, – “There are no set hours for Halloween trick or treating – it generally starts around 5:30p and goes until residents turn off their lights”.
Some communities have specific hours and times for trick or treating on Halloween. A siren, usually the EBS tornado warning siren, will sound to mark the start (and end) of trick or treating. These times aren’t necessarily enforced, but used as a guide for citizens, parents, and trick or treaters.
