Oakland County Moms Calendar of Metro Detroit Spring Events
Downtown Milford 4th of July Parade – Downtown Milford. Due to road closures, this year’s event will take a new scenic route. The parade will begin at 11a on Cabinet Street and will proceed east on Commerce Street to Main Street. Then, will head south on Main Street to end at the entrance of Central Park. For the best parade view, set up a seat along the stretch of Commerce Street from Cabinet to Main Street. You can expect to see proud veterans, color guards, marching bands and more proudly make their way through the route while the community cheers them on. Hosted by Downtown Milford and the Milford Historical Society.
Red Oaks Nature Center Morning Munchkins – Story-time fun for preschool children. Bring your munchkin to the nature center for a seasonal story and a related hands-on, nature-based discovery activity. Cost is $4/child. Call 248-858-0916 weekdays to register. Lost Lake Sledding Hill MLK Day
Lost Lake Sledding Hill MLK Day – at Lost Lake Park. The BEST sled hill in Oakland County has their warming shelter open for some school’s out sledding! Make sure you call the sledding hotline at 248-651-4440 ext 299 before you head out to make sure the sled hill will be open! Review, Pics, Video.
