Rochester Hills MLK Day Snowfort & Campfire
Rochester Hills MLK Day Snowfort & Campfire – Come dressed for the weather and ready towork and build an igloo-style snow fort. No snow? No problem. Create a fort made from other natural materials instead. Deconstruct the fort at the end and talk a bit about “leaving no trace”. A campfire and hot chocolate will also be provided. Royal Oak Middle School MLK Jr Service
Royal Oak Middle School MLK Jr Service – The community is invited to gather at Royal Oak Middle School for a freedom walk and donation drive. The march steps off 10a. After walk, return to ROMS for more activities such as card making, blanket making, making hygiene kits, and sorting donations. Donations are accepted from 8:30 – Noon. Heritage Park Sweetheart Stroll – Celebrate Valentines Day with a candle-lit hike through the trails of Heritage Park. Share your love of nature as you discover the courtship and mating behaviors of native animals. Complete the evening with a warm drink and sweet treats at the Nature Center. Ages 18+. Yoga in the Rock Garden – (5:40p registration) Experience a beautiful practice with Yoga in the Rock Garden at Meadow Brook. All levels are welcome to join these sessions, which will focus on stretching and strengthening the body to release stress and rejuvenate. The goal of yoga is simple: breathe and enjoy the moment, then the rest will follow. In cases of inclement weather, participants will be notified of any cancellations by 4p on event date.
