Fire Prevention Week Events 2018 – Oakland County – Fire Prevention Week is October 7 through October 13, 2018. Fire departments and communities across Oakland County will hold open houses, demonstrations, and free family fun events that week (and other dates). This list will also include Oakland County Fire Departments’ events that take place outside of the actual dates of Fire Prevention Week.
Fire Prevention Week 2018 theme is – “Look. Listen. Learn. Be aware – fire can happen anywhere.”

Famington Hills Fire Prevention Week Events – FH City Wide Open House
Farmington Hills City Hall (31555 West Eleven Mile Road at the corner of Eleven Mile and Orchard Lake)
Climb on fire trucks, practice escape plans in the Smoke House, try on a firefighter’s uniform, run through an obstacle course, and learn about the National Fire Prevention. Learn the basics of CPR, defibrillator use, and Stop the Bleed tourniquet training, see a Christmas tree fire demonstration, and watch a Jaws of Life extrication.
