There are plenty of fun things to do in and around Metro Detroit this weekend. This list will try to highlight some of the weekend events Metro Detroit – big and small – for kids and families. Farmington Hills Weekend Events – Antique Appraisal Event

Bring up to three antiques to be valued by renowned appraisers from DuMouschelle Galleries. You will have 10 minutes with staff members to discuss your items and find out the value of your antiques. Appointments are necessary and can be scheduled by calling the number below. The appraisers can evaluate jewelry, artwork, books, furniture, dolls, toys or games (no guns). Bloomfield Hills Weekend Events – Cranbrook King Tut Exhibit

Troy Weekend Events – Oakland Mall Butterflies Exhibit
Oakland Mall (NW Corner of John R and 14 Mile Road, Troy, MI)
Visitors can tour the butterfly house and interact with over 275 live butterflies in their special habitat daily. They can also take a photo with a butterfly, create butterfly crafts, view a life-cycle kiosk, and adopt-a-butterfly to take home. The 24’ x 12’ Butterfly Pavilion will house over a hundred living butterflies and guests will see the life cycle from caterpillar to pupa to butterfly first hand. Northville Twp Weekend Events Maple Syrup Event – Making Maple Syrup Tours
Maybury Farms (50165 Eight Mile approximately 1 ¼ miles west of Beck, Northville Twp, MI 48167)
Take a hayride to the Maple tree grove, tap the trees, bring sap back to evaporator and watch how maple syrup is made. Your family will not only see all of the steps in producing maple syrup but they will also take part in the process.
