Valentine’s Day Weekend Events 2022 – Valentine’s Day weekend events and fun things to do in Metro Detroit MI for families February 10, 11, 12, 13, & 14, 2022.

There are plenty of fun things to do in and around Metro Detroit this Valentine’s Day weekend. This list will try to highlight some of the Metro Detroit weekend events – big and small – for kids and families. I’m going to be using this article to post events and activities that are either free, or at least family affordable.

Skating – Weather permitting and bring your own skates. Skating is FREE. Winter Park has much to offer including tubing and glow tubing (appointments required), ice skating (weather permitting, bring your own skates), hot cocoa, bonfires, food at the Farmers Kitchen and more. Tubing (unfortunately) isn’t FREE and you have to pre-register which takes the starch out of a spur-of-the-moment experience. Monroe Street Drive-In Powered By Emagine will feature a 60×32 ft digital projection screen. Showtimes every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 7p. All showtimes and programming will be managed by Emagine Entertainment and the site will include parking for up to 65 vehicles including outdoor seating, pedestrian paths, concession pavilions and lighting, and warming areas. Tickets are $20 per vehicle and can be purchased at emagine-entertainment.com. Take a guided snowshoe hike through the snow covered forest with your valentine. Listen to the crunch of snow and maybe even the hoot of owls, while you experience the magic of a winter walk. After exploring the forest with your sweetie, get cozy by the campfire and roast a s’more while the Naturalist teaches you the love language of a variety of animals. Snowshoes are provided.
