College Nannies and Tutors opens in Oakland County
My initial impression of a nanny was a live-in motherly figure who takes care of the kids as an assistant to the mother. For example, when the mom is out, the nanny watches the kids, cooks for them, and takes them where they need to go, all in addition to when the mom is home and needs help with the kids and around the house - kind of like Alice from the Brady Bunch.
After meeting with Amber O'Hara, owner of College Nannies and Tutors, I learned a lot about nannies and their infinite roles.

Celebrity Apprentice - breakdown of this season's contestants
Although the season doesn't start until March 14th, The candidates for the third Celebrity Apprentice were announced yesterday. I love this show and it's going to be a long winter waiting for it to start! In fact, I'm looking forward to it so much that I've decided to handicap who I think will go far in the show.
Here goes...
Rod Blagojevich (Former Governor of Illinois). Blagojevich was the governor arrested for federal corruption in 2008 for bribery and wire fraud. He's the wildcard of this bunch of candidates. Panera Bread and United Way for Southeastern Michigan Team Up to Host FREE Family Fun Days every second Saturday of the month. I took the kids to the kickoff event at the Rochester location on Adams and they had a great time. (See list below for upcoming dates and locations.) The event was well run and the staff truly enjoyed being with the kids, and they were so incredibly kind and helpful. They read stories to the kids and helped them at each of the craft stations. All with smiles and genuine kindness.
I met with a staff member from Oakland Family Services who explained how their goal is to ensure quality care for all children. They provide resources to Relative-aid providers, i.e. grandparents, aunts, uncles, childcare providers etc. who are providing care to children aged birth to five. Oakland Family Services wants to ensure quality care for all children and to ensure children start school prepared and ready to learn.
